~ (2007) ~ offers a substantial revision of DP2. It evaluates development and reports in terms of developmental age level. DP-3 scales assesses ability in each of 5 domains: physical, adaptive-behavior, social-emotional, cognitive, and communication. The primary means of administration is interview with parent or cargivers. However a checklist is avilable which may be completed when insterview is not possible.
Each of the 186 items describes a particular skill pertaining to one of the 5 scales. Individuals familiar with the child indicate whether the child has mastered the skill. Scales are scored spearately to allow separate administration and interpretation of the profile of scores. Standard scores are provided which may be used to qualify individuals in terms of eligibility for service.
